Location: Austin, Remote in Texas
Compensation: $130,000 - $140,000 + Bonus

Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Manager:

• Lead and manage a payroll team responsible for weekly, bi weekly, and off cycle payrolls across multiple subsidiaries, ensuring accuracy and on time delivery.
• Oversee end to end payroll operations, including salaries, hours worked, leave, accruals, deductions, garnishments, and proper tax treatment.
• Partner cross functionally with sales, field, revenue, and finance teams to improve data quality, streamline processes, and support scalable payroll systems.
• Manage payroll tax reporting, W 2s, audits, and financial reporting requests.
• Drive process improvements and documentation, including maintaining and updating payroll policies and procedures.
• Support M&A activity by planning and overseeing payroll transitions and integrations.

Qualifications for the Payroll Manager

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• 10 years of payroll management experience, including people management, with strong expertise in ADP Systems Implementation preferred
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification, strongly preferred
• Multi-state and multi-payroll experience supporting 2,000+ employees
• Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal payroll tax requirements
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
